Oh, these two... :) Not only are they dear friends of mine, but they are an incredibly adorable couple! And a dream to photograph! I have been looking forward to this wedding for a while.. Maria and Jake know how to throw a good celebration! I loved their vision from the beginning.. really chill, relaxed; very intimate and special for all the guests. And that it was! Luke and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Lutsen and it was so great to be in "wedding mode" for 3 days! There was so much joy, so much love and we had the great privilege to being around these two for a whole weekend!

It was cloudy and a little chilly, maybe not what Maria had in mind when she planned this weekend. But honestly, there's a feeling and a mood that I will never forget about this wedding! It was quiet, except for the crashing waves of the lake. It was still and secluded.. it was romantic. This weekend made every guest, including myself, just stop and enjoy the beauty around us! It was perfect!

There's so many details that I hope they never forget. The nerves in the morning getting ready, the climax to the moment they saw each other on the bridge, the special ceremony (performed by Maria's father!), the acoustic music, the wonderful food! The cozy bonfire, the wooden cabin feel to the reception, the gorgeous white flowers! Their first dance that started slow, then turned into a party song!
